Sculpture

Sculpture as a subject in VGC was established in the year 2017. The B.A three year degree course is designed into three  broad categories - Core Course, Skill Enhancement Course and General Elective. Core course focuses on the study and practices based on teaching fundamental concept of Sculpture art and drawing. The focus of core course is to make students learn various techniques involved in Clay modelling. Skill Enhancement course aim to make student practice his individual style and skill. General course are offered to students of any discipline from Art and Humanities, who want to seek exposure to Sculptural art.

The student of all the three categories learn the basic method, material and technique of Sculpture along with focus on drawing inspired by nature study, object study, study of master artist style and human body drawing. Department from time to time organise class work shop on topics within the syllabus to explore the creative individual style and language of student. Sculpture department has always aspired students to learn art through outdoor and indoor studio practices.
