Meditation & Yoga Club

Meditation and Yoga Club

In 2023, our college proudly established the Meditation and Yoga Club under the guidance of Dr. Deepali Ashok, Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany. This initiative was created to foster holistic well-being among students and staff members. In today’s fast-paced world, academic and professional pressures are often accompanied by rising stress levels, impacting individuals' mental, emotional, and physical health. Recognizing the need for effective stress management, we created a dedicated space for relaxation, self-awareness, and personal growth. Our club operates in collaboration with Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, a respected non-governmental organization that has worked tirelessly for over 87 years to improve lives across the nation. With the Brahma Kumaris’ support, we provide a range of programs and resources to guide members in leading healthier, more balanced lives.

Objectives

The Meditation and Yoga Club aims to:

  • Enhance Mental Well-being: Offer tools and techniques to manage stress and build resilience, empowering members to face academic and personal challenges with a calm mind.
  • Promote Physical Fitness: Conduct regular yoga sessions focused on enhancing flexibility, strength, and physical health.
  • Provide Guidance and Counseling: Facilitate mental health counseling sessions in partnership with Brahma Kumaris for those needing personalized support.
  • Cultivate Self-awareness and Personal Growth: Encourage self-reflection and inner development, helping students and staff grow emotionally and mentally.
  • Build a Supportive Community: Create a welcoming environment where members feel connected, supported, and motivated to enhance their well-being.
